A new update is coming to Bluvy Messenger. Version 1.0.15.4 introduces two new features designed to make Bluvy easier to use every day: Notes to your self and location sharing with Cartes.app.
Notes to your self
Do you often send yourself messages to keep an idea, a reminder, a link, or some other important information?
Bluvy Messenger now provides a dedicated Notes to your self space, directly accessible from your conversation list.
A protected personal space
Just like your conversations, your notes are encrypted directly on your device before being transmitted.
The content of your notes therefore cannot be read by Bluvy.
Most importantly, your notes are not stored on Bluvy's servers. They are stored in encrypted form on your own AT Protocol PDS (Personal Data Server). Bluvy therefore acts only as the interface for creating, viewing, and managing your notes, while the data remains stored in your own data space.
This architecture also allows you to keep your notes independently from Bluvy's infrastructure.
Your notes, even without an internet connection
Your notes can be viewed and edited even when you don't have an internet connection.
Once your connection is restored, your changes are automatically synchronized with your PDS.
The goal is simple: to let you quickly keep important personal information directly in Bluvy, without needing another application and without your notes being stored on Bluvy's servers.
Share a location with Cartes.app
Want to meet somewhere or simply share a location with someone?
Bluvy now integrates Cartes.app, a mapping service based on open OpenStreetMap data.
Search for a location directly in Bluvy
From the message composer, you can search for an address or point of interest and share it directly in your conversation.
The recipient will receive a preview of the location directly in the conversation instead of just a plain link.
View the location on Cartes.app
The shared location can be displayed directly in the conversation as a map.
A button then lets you open the location in Cartes.app to view more information or plan a route.
The update is now avaible on web client and soon on Play Store
